Lapis Luna Chardonnay
Made for you if you want your Chardonnay rich, buttery, with oak aging but at the same time crisp and juicy. For Chardonnay Lapis Luna the grapes come 90% from Mendocino, where the winery is based, and 10% from Clarksburg. This 10% is aged in new oak barrels for 9 months. This gives the buttery and smoky aromas to the wine but does not mask the juicy and almost tropical fruit.
Aromas of lemon, white peach & nectarine with a touch of vanilla bean. The palate is rich and round with a nice acidity, leading to a long finish. In the mouth it has a mediumĀ body, medium acidity and an oily texture. Salted caramel, peach, butter, cookie, smoke, pineapple, lemon and lime fill the mouth with every sip.
